Happy Easter
Location: Nuku Hiva
The day started with a well deserved late wake up. After a nearly three-week long passage the crew needed some break. Everyone had to catch up on sleep. However, from 7am most of us started making our way to the deck. Sarah, Ruby, Gavi, Sydney, Stella, and others were reading or talking with friends and family back home well before the morning meeting. Meg, Katie, and Ani were also up early to ensure breakfast was ready by 8:30. This made my morning skipper routine very easy as I only had to wake up Skylar, Cason, and Martín.
Today was one of these very rare days in the trip where the schedule looks empty. Most of us spent the morning swimming, snorkeling, jumping off Argo's cap rails, or just chilling in the shade. At some point during the morning Denise brought some super tasty fresh fruit onboard -thank you!!
After lunch, we had a different visit. A manta ray approached the boat and Meg, Sarah, Helena, Emma, and others jumped in the water to try and make contact. With little success...
The acrobatic jumps went on in the afternoon. Thanks Martín for the backflip lessons! We also pulled out Charlie's paddle board and did some laps around Argo and tested the boards's flotability.
Arthur and Will passed their 800m swimming test towards their Divemaster certifications, one step closer, well done guys!
After dinner we enjoyed some peanut butter Easter eggs and watched a movie.
Everyone had a great Easter celebration, one to remember for sure. The crew is ready for some diving tomorrow, and explore land in the days to come.
Besos a la familia, hoy en especial a Jorge, Sara, León y Juana.
