True Vegetarians Make Dull Company

Location: Pacific

Hi!
Today started off with our 12-4 am watch, which was fun, lots of sharing of stories, and sailing along our route. We hit our waypoint, and that means when we reach our next one, we will be heading up north through a bunch more cool islands in the Coral Sea, so super excited for that! One really awesome part of the sail today is that we went over a trench, and the deepest point was 9,175 meters! Super deep! We had two incredibly tasty meals today that Amy and her sous chefs made, along with the bread makers, Jen and Isaac, making some fire naan. The one sad thing is we are now down to our last 2 lures as another big fish chewed through the line, which is impressive because it was a thick hand line, so it must have been a pretty big fish. It could have been another sail fish maybe because we did hook one the other day which was crazy but its bill just cut right through the line, either way, definitely a big fish. Today, all the students had another Nav class where they practiced making acronyms with the letters TVMDC, hence the title. We had a nice sunset tonight (pics attached), and now we're all chilling with Shane on deck playing guitar. It has been a really great passage so far, and we have been able to sail without the motor almost the whole passage. We have a really dope route, so hopefully we keep having great wind.

I hope you all can wake up and enjoy the blog and some of the photos I took today!

See you guys soon!
