What Do You Mean We are Still on Passage?

The past 11 days, I think, have been about as eventful as we can make things while sailing in the open ocean. A whole lot of time with our watch teams, in class with Charlie, Jen, or Nacho, and a lot of sleep consume the repetitive cycle of our time. This is not to make things sound boring by any means. Though there are some of those moments, we definitely find ways to have fun and get a good laugh in. These past days have been spent getting to know everyone, but especially getting close with our watch teams. Watch team 3, and I had an early start to our day with the 4-8 am shift. We have been having a rather great time playing games, asking questions, listening to music, and laughing with each other. Today, we came up on deck to a lowered main sail due to some windy storms, which left us motor-sailing while we stayed on the lookout for rain. Lots of late-night ramen, lots of early morning cereal, and lots of guessing how many days we have till Palau, some of us more hopeful with our guesses than others. Today, we finally finished off our tuna, which means the lines can be thrown out again. We have also run through our supply of daily fresh fruit, which means we now get the canned fruit, which I actually could not be more excited for. After completing my job for the day (this), I am going to get a nice shower in (thanks to Shane fixing our briefly broken water maker) and watch the sunset, which has got to be my favorite part of the days here (sunrises too). I am probably going to go write something very similar to this in my journal tonight after doing some very, very, very fun nav master homework. Time for bed at 7 pm because sleep is precious, and you cannot waste it on this boat.
To my friends at home, I miss you all. And to my family and Taylor, I love you with all my heart, and cannot wait to tell you about this lit trip.
