Darth Radar
Location: Underway to Morocco
The morning started off early for watch team 2 (Meg, Aidan, Emily, Alexa, Liv, Sam, Jem, and Teo) on the 4-8 am watch. We spent most of the time solving riddles, such as what you can bring to the umbrella party or through the green glass door. The last hour, though, was spent coming up with the first prank of the program. As watch team 3 came up on watch, we told them an elaborate story about how our 'radar reflector' (this does not exist) fell off the mast, and we are now no longer visible on the radar to boats passing by. This means that part of the bow watch is also a radar watch. The person on the bow must wear the colander and point it in the direction of passing boats to ensure they see us on radar. The first person on watch team 3 to take on the task was Fish, who decided he wanted to go for his radar helmsona, Darth Radar. With Fish headed to the bow, the rest of watch team 3 came to the cockpit, where watch team 2 greeted them by singing happy birthday to Luca. Watch team 3 passed the time on watch by putting up the main sail and the jib. Nacho then taught Chloe, Sabrina, Matthew, Ben, and Maria how to put up the running back stays. This kept them busy until it was time for lunch. Teagan chefed up a delicious buffalo chickpea salad to help fuel us through our day. Much needed as the king of time made an appearance, and we are changing time zones, so the sun no longer rises at 9 am. The afternoon consisted of Marine Biology class, where I taught about estuaries and how they were formed. Then Shane took over and taught the estimated time of arrival for Navmaster.
The afternoon rounded off with some fun games on the 2-6, Teagan doing laundry while acting as a radar reflector, and breakfast for dinner, cooked by Oscar and Amelia. During dinner, the radar reflection prank was revealed, and watch team two is waiting to see who is going to try and match our comedic prank next. To finish off the nigh,t we had some pancake cake to celebrate Luca's birthday and answered the squeeze question of what you shouldn't do while scuba diving. Answers included riding a shark, using the tank as a jet propulsion, and playing hide and seek.

To all the family and friends who read this blog, I send you my heartfelt hugs and hope you don't miss me too much. As for me, my birthday was fantastic. I woke up for my watch shift, during which I had to dodge a giant cargo ship that was trying to cut us off and then hoist the sails. My fellow adventurers let me relax as much as possible, and I didn't even have to cook today (despite being a sous chef). For dinner, they made me a cake (special thanks to Alexa, Emily, Amelia, Sam, and everyone else who helped in the kitchen), and Matthew gave me his gift: a pair of pants that match those of Charlie, my watch team leader. All in all, it was a fantastic day, and I can't wait to see you again.

P.S. The spell checker doesn't work for Italian, and I don't know how to add accents on the computer.
