Our Final Day Aboard the Argo

Location: Antigua

After 88 unforgettable days of sailing, we woke up to our penultimate morning on Argo to nothing but our favorite sound, the fire alarm. There is no better way to start our day and end the trip with a sound so incredibly annoying. After sharing one final prepared breakfast, made by our incredible chef, Liv, we got straight to work on our busy day. To prepare for our departure, we split into teams to get the boat shining. The deck crew scrubbed thoroughly while others tackled cleaning out their bunks and packing. The galley and salon were turned upside down to get them spotless and the heads were scrubbed clean. The entire crew buzzed with activity all day as everyone helped ensure that Argo was left in great shape.

After a busy day of hard work, we all split off, and some grabbed drinks while others scrubbed off in the shore showers. After, we gathered for our final squeeze question in the cockpit; What is one thing you will miss from Argo? All shared their gratitude and reflections on the journey, and tears came close to being shed. Then, we all hopped on Nopes to head to dinner, just a minute away. A nearby restaurant sat us all at a long table by the water to celebrate our final night together. We spent some of our last moments laughing and smiling over delicious food and drinks, and listened to a live band while singing some of our favorite songs and dancing our hearts out together on the stage. It was one last great moment of togetherness as a family, which I think we will all remember fondly.

Now that we are back on the boat, we’ll sleep in our bunks one last time before our final breakfast and departure in the morning. The past 90 days have been such a blast, and yet we are so incredibly excited to see you all back at home. Thank you for tuning in to all of our adventures. We truly couldn’t have done it without you! Happy day 89, see you soon!

Also wishing a happy birthday to Alexa, who is turning 19 today. We hope she had an amazing birthday aboard Argo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
