Baby Sleeping

Location: Underway to Moracco

Today was yet another epic day on Vela! The crew woke up at 8 and had a wonderful silent breakfast due to the baby maybe or maybe not sleeping above, shhhhhhh. Clara loved this breakfast because the line moved fast due to the one-pot aspect. Along with our breakfast, we were blessed with a wonderful full double rainbow off the stern of the boat. Next, we attempted to passage prep, where Callie, Hollis, and Lexi braved the rain and non-slippery knots. They said they almost died, but they were really fine. Then we had leadership with a presentation given by the funniest people alive, Corinne, Mali, and Sedona. After leadership, where we all complemented each other, we had great news that our exam got moved, and we were going to have a review class instead. Everyone was thrilled to know they had more time to study. After classes, we had another yummy sandwich bar and wrapped up passage prep. Then waited a little while for our amazing captain Mac and mechanic/first mate Tom to fix the hydraulics and the navigation screen so we were safe and sound. This time gave us a few extra minutes to enjoy the company of our fellow crewmates while in our stations, ready to undock. As we were leaving the harbor, Owen got to fulfill his lifelong dreams of honking the horn as we came to a blind corner with one long blast! While Sophie was a legend and went down in the anchor locker. Now we're on our way to Morocco with our new, maybe improved, watch teams. But only time will tell, but RIP Baywatch! Baxter, you're not on watch team three anymore! I hope you all have a wonderful rest of your day. All of your children miss you and got to reminisce about all the birthday meals you have made for them tonight during squeeze. See you all soon!

Much love,
Tilly
