Day 1

Location: Great Harbour Peter, Peter Island

With the crew assembled, we began the spring voyage abroad Ocean Star. At our berth in Soper's Hole, Tortola, we met to discuss the policies and agreements of the program and then got underway to anchor out in the bay for CPR and First Aid training. With final preparations in place, we hauled up the anchor. We motored up the Drake Channel to Peter Island, where the crew learned how to shower in salt water, eat salad in the trade winds, and presently are being introduced to the intricacies of the vessel.
