Program Manager, Marine Science and PADI Diving Instructor
Amanda grew up landlocked in Syracuse, NY, where she showed a strong interest in natural sciences at a very young age. This interest developed into a passion for marine life and she went on to graduate with a B.S. from the University of Maine in marine science. After some time spent working as a sailing instructor in the Florida Keys, a mate with Global Expeditions Group in the British Virgin Islands, and an educator at the Georgia Sea Turtle Center, she furthered her education with an M.S. in marine biology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She has recently become a PADI OWSI and is eager to share the wonders of the ocean both in the classroom and underwater. As a previous student on S/Y OceanStar, she is excited to be a part of the Sea|mester family once again.
