Raised beside a lake in the Drakensberg mountains of South Africa, Calum grew up answering to the beckoning call of the water and adventure. Some of his favourite pastimes included waterskiing, dinghy sailing, and exploring the magnificent Drakensberg with his three brothers. A gap year took him to Australia and New Zealand where he worked and volunteered on farms to fund his travels. Amongst these experiences was a stint on a tallship; a highlight of this time that consolidated his passion for the wind and the waves. Hes since gained experience on yachts in South Florida, allowing him to complete the Master of Yachts 200-ton limited course. He is currently working on gaining a light sports aircraft pilot license.
His hobbies and pastimes include adventure sports, singing and songwriting, photography, and flying while aiming for a commercial pilot’s license.
