Mate, Marine Science and PADI Diving Instructor
Originally from California, Carolyn started her marine career attending the University of California, San Diego for her undergraduate degree. Soon after, she gained extensive dive experience working aboard liveaboards off the California and Mexico coasts and has been pursuing an underwater lifestyle ever since. She has conducted research in the Bahamas, Australia, and all across the Eastern Pacific, and has taught marine ecology and PADI dive courses along the way. She has also recently completed her 100T Master USCG license. After receiving her master’s at Humboldt State University, she has most recently been working as a scientific diver assessing northern California’s Marine Protected Areas. Carolyn is excited to join the Sea|mester team and to share her love for teeny tiny organisms with all onboard!
