Shane discovered his passion for sailing at an early age in sunny Central Florida and spent his teens sailing the Florida Coast and the Bahamas. While studying Marine Biology at the University of South Florida, Shane sailed and studied aboard S/Y Argo as a student. Inspired by the prospect of sailing and teaching professionally, he went on to get an IYT Yachtmaster and USCG 100-ton license; Shane has been captaining and teaching sailing since finishing his Bachelor’s Degree. Shane is looking forward to returning to Sea|mester as a Mate to share his passion for sailing with students.
