Shona first started sailing as a teenager in Sligo, a beautiful area along the west coast of Ireland. It was over this time she developed a love for the ocean and experiential exploration. Shona graduated in 2013 with a degree in outdoor education and geography from Galway Mayo Institute of Technology. Since then, she has worked in several locations across the globe applying these skills to promote learning through experiential education. Shona has also spent several years working for Global Expeditions Group as a skipper and medical staff with their summer programs in the British Virgin Islands. Shona holds certifications as a RYA Yachtmaster and a Wilderness EMT.Her goal is to inspire and educate her students in a fun, safe, learning environment.
