Location: Falmouth Harbour, Antigua
This morning started at midnight for some of our crew as the members of watch team two piloted Ocean Star towards Antigua. At sunrise we struck our sails and motored into Falmouth Harbour, dropped anchor amongst some of the finest mega yachts in the world, and commenced our boat appreciation in the company of hundreds of other yacht crew working to keep their vessels ship shape. During this time Ocean Star was re-provisioned, stocked with cooking gas, dinghy fuel, and a few spare parts necessary to continue our journey. In the afternoon the crew was granted shore leave to explore the island and take in the sights. This evening they’ll learn about the Aquarium Trade in Marine Biology class before settling in for some much deserved rest. Tomorrow we’re off again early bound for Green Island, an uninhabited spit of sand on the east side of the island where we’ll partake in various windsports and begin our Rescue Diver class.
