Location: Puerto Morelos, Mexico
Today, we reached land in Mexico after a 2-day passage from Roatan. We were quite literally on land when Argo ran aground, coming into Puerto Morelos. However, with patience from our captain and teamwork aboard, we were free in no time. We are docked in a lovely marina next to the resort called Coco de Mio. After a long day of “Boat Appreciation,” we all tried to get some last-minute studying time for Matty’s Marine Bio exam. Tomorrow, we have our biggest paper due for Oceanography, so tonight, we will be making last-minute touches to them (or writing the whole thing for those who are slackers). Overall, it was a wonderful passage to Mexico with our new watch teams. Watch team one is often very quiet. We are all very excited about eating lots of guacamole for the next few days.
