Location: Pulau Dayang Bunting, Malaysia

Today’s sights were stunning. I don’t think I’ve ever been anyplace so gorgeous. We left Langkawi this morning and I admit I was a little nervous about passage, but a day to read and relax and organize my bunk and mind before departure really did me and everyone else (I hope) a lot of good. We’re so close to these islands it seems impossible for us not to be aground. The cliffs are steep and thickly vegetated- eagles nest in the trees and swoop over the green water now and then, or dip across the red sun at twighlight (don’t worry, Evan took pictures). I know I had a happy day- I couldn’t stop smiling at the helm and laughing for the beauty of it all when Kevin took us on a dinghy tour. The sun was shining, the breeze was blowing, and here we are in all the beauty of nature. Which includes the fact that theoretically ice can sink. Yes, I’m very psyched about this.andlt;brandgt;andlt;/brandgt;andlt;
