Yesterdays night was pretty busy! Even though we were close enough to Mauritius to anchor, doing it at night was too dangerous. So instead we tacked back and forth. This was clearly the most sail handling we did since the beginning , it was so fun!! Plus, we had a really pretty sunrise. In between tacks, we had breakfast and coffee as the sun came up.
I think it is safe to say that today was a packed day. First of all, this morning we anchored with only sail power!! This is quite the accomplishment for any sailor, but we were up to the challenge. It was an all hands on deck operation and it went smoothly. It was the appreciation of the day for many.
For lunch, Kiley, Travis, and Amanda cooked us some delicious chicken parmesan. After lunch, we started to put the boat away by taking off the jack lines and putting on the sail covers. Then we spent the whole afternoon doing boat appreciation. Everybody did a really good job at taking care of our precious Argo.
Tonight we had some hot dogs and pineapple!!
Tonight we are all going to work on our presentation, watch a movie maybe be first of all prepare our bags because tomorrow we are moving into our new apartments youhou!!
