Hello everyone! After everyone got settled in last night, we spent our first night aboard Argo together. It would seem that some people had better luck than others when it came to getting any real rest, though (I wasn’t so lucky). Once we finished breakfast, we headed down to the salon to cover the ship’s policies. Instead of a long-winded lecture, we broke into groups and acted out (some) of the situations that go against policy. Everyone found Charlie, Philip, and Bodhi’s skit on being a bystander to physical altercations particularly hilarious. Next on our list was a proper ship tour, as some of us arrived late last night and missed a chance to explore. If you ask me, the tour’s highlight was the demonstration on how to open the laz, which involved Kackie playing the role of the laz and Gabe as the opener.
With the formalities out of the way, we had a bit of downtime. Several of us took (Ava, Hannah, Amanda M, Bodhi, Charlie, and Philip) this as an opportunity to inhabit the most prime real estate on the ship, the bowsprit. We took a fantastic photo that I sincerely hope gets posted. After a break and some lunch, we split into groups once more, this time along the lines of SCUBA certified or not. The non-certified (myself, Kiley, Hannah, Bodhi, Ava, Ainsley, and Juliet) buckled down to watch several hours of PADI videos in the salon, while the certs (Amanda D, Amanda M, Charlie, Philip, and Ali) did some review in the cockpit.
Come dinner time, we did our second squeeze question, but our first as a whole group. In the background, a beautiful orange and red sunset over Bali. Tomorrow, we set sail for the first time, and I would be lying if I said we weren’t hyped. Although things are winding down for the evening, the air of excitement still hangs. So far, we’ve had an amazing time getting acquainted with either and the boat life. I can confidently say that good things lie ahead for all of us.

Best,
Travis P, Skipper

P.S. To all my family and friends reading this, I love y’all, and I miss you already.
P.S.S. Hi Dominique 🙂 I love you fancier.
