Location: Underway to Palau
Hello everyone, Ben here.
We are still sailing to Palau, and it’s been getting fun. Everyone has been getting their hands on some sail handling, and the conditions have kept it exciting. Every one of the students has been doing amazing with reefing and unreefing the sails, with each member seamlessly slotting into roles to get the job done.
Class today was Seamanship. The students are deep into the Nav-master section of the course, and from what I hear, they’re crushing it.
After seamanship, the students had marine bio (a personal favorite of mine). They’re in the 1st section of the course, and so are building the basic foundation to the subject before they dive into specific organisms and ecosystems later on.
As we sail on, the students are getting more and more comfortable down below in the Galley, and both meals today were great. The chefs provided the “feed we need”.
Right now, clean up is happening, and we are being treated to an insane sunset.
Still got a few thousand miles to go and we’re loving it.
