Location: Salt Island, BVI

As last night’s passage turned into this morning sail, my watch took over at 5 am. During that time, the sun rose at our backs, and the British Virgin Islands erupted out of the sea before us. We sailed elegantly through the cut between Ginger Island and Round Rock and headed up the Channel towards Spanish Town on Virgin Gorda. As we arrived, we dropped sails and anchored around 9 am before heading into a nice, long Boat Appreciation. BA took much of the morning, and we were able to get a lot of the necessary cleaning out of the way for the ominous Dragon BA to come in the near future. After that, we had a late lunch of Sloppy Joe’s cooked up by Edouard and I. As we finished lunch clean up, we motored on over to the Baths. The Baths is a collection of giant boulders that form pools in the seawater and is surrounded by a picturesque beach. The history behind the Baths is actually extremely interesting, and I was privileged to experience it for myself. After the Baths, we raised anchor once more and headed for Salt Island, where we will dive the wreck of the RMS Rhone tomorrow! But first, dinner then our last Leadership class. set date:2012-11-30
