Location: Saba
The day started off like every other day at 7, but then we had to quickly change gears and get the ship ready for departure. We got it cleaned up, tucked everything away, and had a relatively painless departure, especially compared to the challenges we had docking. Everyone was doing something, and there was nonstop movement until we left the marina. Unlike the journey to St. Barths, Saba was a lot more fun because we got to use the sails and rely on the wind to move the ship. We had multiple watch groups that went through the boat, ensuring everything was in working order, that cycled in and out throughout the trip. Most of the day was spent sailing, and even though it was lots of fun, there were still some minor hiccups. For one, some sails ripped, and then we ate soup while traveling through the swelling ocean. Although in the end we still made it without any real problems and had a great time. We ended the day by starting our advanced open water certification, and prepared for our dives tomorrow.
