Location: Soufriere, St Lucia
This morning, we completed our first Reef Check survey at the famous “Superman’s Flight” dive site at the base of the Petit Piton, a stone’s throw from our anchorage. After a wild morning of counting fish, invertebrates, and substrate types, we returned to Ocean Star for lunch. Following lunch, we headed back out for another Reef Check survey at “Grand Caille” at the base of a 70ft cliff that was littered with caves. Having completed our mission, the group came back and had dinner just after sunset, which produced a nice green flash. To finish the day, we all sat down to watch White Squall for our Student Leadership Development class.
