Location: Ile Fourche

This morning, we were on the move yet again, motoring a short distance from the glitz and bustle of Gustavia to the secluded shores of an uninhabited island called Il Fourche. On arrival, we launched into dive mode. We spent the morning and early afternoon conducting underwater circumnavigations of a small spit of land that had magnificent marine life, including turtles, barracuda tarpon, garden eels, and spiny-headed blennies. After the dives, shipmates ventured ashore to explore the craggy peaks and take in the shimmering sunny views of the turquoise-hued water. The late afternoon held shower time, and a night of grilling is just finishing up now as the sun sets. Tomorrow morning, we’ll set sail for St. Eustatius, our first Dutch island.
