Location: Portsmouth, Dominica
Today was filled with productivity as we opted to frontload some classes in order to leave extra time for other things later in the week! This morning, Hannah prepared bagels, yogurt, granola, and fruit from the Dominica fruit tour we did with SeaCat a few days ago. After breakfast, Ben taught marine bio, and I taught the last class of the NavMaster curriculum! NavMaster is quite a hard course, so it is exciting to be nearing review, and exam week is coming up. Later on in the day, the students continued the Emergency First Responder course with Ben. Although I was organizing exam paperwork in the chart house, it was fun to listen to everyone in the EFR course act out overly dramatized scenarios. I think everyone had a fun time- and for those who may not continue sailing or diving in the future after this trip, at least they got to work on their acting careers! Today made me remember how nice all the small things are as well- like scrubbing dishes in the dishy pit with friends, going for an afternoon swim, and taking a little nap.
Looking forward to getting sails up to Les Saints in the morning!
