Location: Komodo
Today I was woken up from 8-12am to start the day. We did a lot of work to get the boat ready to continue BA when we got to our anchorage during watch. We took down the staysails and put the sail covers on. And then we hoisted Jo up the mast as we entered the anchorage. She ended up going all the way up to the second spreaders!
Once we were anchored, we did the BA tasks that we didnt get done yesterday. This was floor scrubs and bunk cleans, scrubbing topsides, and rust remover and black mark remover around the boat. Luna, Brooke, and Noa went out provisioning and came back after lunch with food. We put away the food, and then got to have some shore time.
It was awesome to be able to explore onshore today. We spent a good five hours walking around town, through shops and restaurants. I had a great time popping into dive shops to buy cool merch and stopped by the Starbucks.
We all met for dinner at 7 pm. We had a group dinner and a sign-out night. It was a great restaurant with a really nice view.
Glad for our time herewe are moving tomorrow.
