Location: Palau
Today was a very exciting day, it was 40 Bs first day!! For me, it started bright and early, packing up the hotel room I was in, and getting ready for a plane excursion around Palau, before getting on Argo. Grace, Sammy, and I met for breakfast and then got picked up on a shuttle to the local airport, where we had a quick briefing and were told NOT to press any buttons or hit the accelerator on the plane, haha! The ride was gorgeous, we saw a lot of the cool dive sites we had visited the day prior, and also got a quick first glimpse of Argo, which was so cool to see! We were super lucky to have clear skies for our 40-minute flight, and saw a rainbow, pretty much the second we landed, clouds and rain started forming over Palau. We went back to the hotel, met up with Fiona, and hung out by the pool till it was finally time to get a taxi to the dock where we were meeting Argo. Pretty much all of 40 B got there around 12, loaded everyone’s bags into the little dinghy, which took multiple trips. Everyone started unpacking. It was so hot and humid. After we were all unpacked and had our bed assignments, we had a swim test where we had to swim around Argo 3 times, then do a 10-minute treading water challenge, and had our first ocean showers, which felt so nice! The chefs Rhianna, Isaac, and Harrison made chicken tacos for dinner, and we all enjoyed the tacos while the sun was setting over Palau. Squeeze question of the day was, what is your bucket list thing to scuba dive with! PS, Mom, Bubbie, Ellie, Sophie, and Simmone Palau is the coolest place I’ve ever been. We have to come back here!! I’m having the best time ever. Thank you so much for this opportunity!
