Location: Fiji to Palau
It has certainly been a minute since your parents last heard from me on day 3 in Malolo. Today was quite the day. Some of you will be quite bemused by the funny things your children have done, such as “Tributes” to cross the equEquatord their sacrifices, while others will be horrified. So they told us to give a tribute, and it was as follows. Austin and I made a nice rap, and Mathilda and Lainey did a “thing?” Lexi made music from her nose, and Elanore and Olivia did a puppet show. The craziest act, however, was performed by the three gutterballs known as Beck, Iain, and William. They hosted a dishy pit “lava ceremony” where each took a shot of “Saltee” water, which is brown water composed of dish soap, seawater, and old food.
It’s that gross, whereas I lose it if I get a drop on my body. If these are your kids, then you’ve done a great job, from what I can see. Then they buzzed their entire heads of hair into the sea. For my sacrifice, I contributed to the hair voodoo doll, along with Emily, Addy, and others. Austin made this doll using flour, water, and our hair trimmings. My favorite performance, however, was from Casey and Sidney. They made a disstrack so personal and intricately woven for each individual person on the boat that it was very impressive and funny.
I was quite nervous to hear mine, but when it came, despite mine being the longest, it was actually nice. So we did it! We crossed the EEquator and before you say, “oH yOu aLrEaAdY diD tHaT oN tHe pLaNe,” this is different because we sailed through it taking two weeks time. Anyways, Mum and Dad, I hope you guys finally found out how to access these. I hope you’re enjoying Thailand, and I hope you registered for my classes accordingly while I’m here. It’s crazy because the world could be in total war, and we simply wouldn’t know. What’s even more frightening is that the last thing I read on the news before departure was of Russian subs off the coast of Florida. I really hope that someone is reading this, but if they are, Mum, Dad, I love you and miss you, and your other parents have great kids, too. It’s good to practice my Afrikaans with Mathilda, spar with Beck, have Russian lessons with Casey, or freestyle rap with Austin, may it be in Spanish or English. Hope to speak to you soon, mum and dad. Cheers
