Today we had our first day of classes, beginning with Oceanography class at 8.15. After which we hiked over a small nearby island and continued our class. Being that its only our second day, people are still getting used to each other, but I feel that we have a pretty good group that seems to be bonding fairly quickly. After our island excursion we had some excellent grilled cheese sandwiches provided by Steven and Kirsty. They also made a most excellent stir fry for dinner. But after lunch we began our SCUBA lessons in water. We spent about 2 hours learning the basics and taking our first breaths underwater. Though there was not much to see, it gave us a taste of what’s to come. A most excellent day which we will finish with our first sailing lesson.
