Location: Ladder Bay, Saba

Hey, yall!! Checking in from Ocean Star in Saba tonight. We had a busy but amazing day today. We started this morning in Statia with some wonderful French toast, courtesy of Robert, to keep us fueled for our two dives. After breakfast, we headed over to the dive center to brief for our DOUBLE wreck dives!! We got out on the water and began setting up our kits. It is really cool and makes me proud to see everyone setting up their own dive equipment like Second Nature. The two dives today fulfilled the wreck diving and fish ID modules for those of us who are still working towards that cert, which was also really sick.

As we dropped down over the wreck, the scene below was almost surreal. Large schools of fish and corals of every color covered the ship. We were able to circle the wreck multiple times, seeing new fish every second. It was definitely one of the best dives I have ever been on. After some brief surface time, we were down again on another wreck. This was a large field of debris from various ships with an insane amount of biodiversity. We saw multiple big rays and one massive one. After the dives, we had some time ashore on Statia to grab lunch. Statia was beautiful and home to some absolutely wonderful people. We found a little burger place in town and housed a couple of burgers and ice cream, which was sick as always. Then we headed back to the boat to get on passage to Saba. During the passage, the rescue divers in training (Max, Will, Owen, Rhianna, and I) took our rescue exam, and all passed!!

Meanwhile, everyone else was taking a nap as usual during the passage. Once we arrived in Saba, we had an amazing meal of Shepards Pie (Thank you, Robert, Zoe, and Owen). As I am writing this during clean-up, we are getting absolutely poured on. There has been so much rain, though I am dry, so thats pretty sickanother great day on Ocean Star.
