Location: Falmouth, Antigua

Today, we finally arrived in Antigua after what seemed like a really short passage compared to the journey we had embarked upon the last time I was skipper. Anyway, we got cleared into customs by Tom in the early hours of the morning. We put the boat to bed after we woke up, before breakfast. It was an odd job since, this time, I had a passage prep list, so I had to reverse all the tasks, and some of them just straight didnt make sense but were still important. So, as some of us brought out the trash, others did all the tasks I handed out. However, by this point, everyone gets the drill, so people only came up when they didnt know if there was anything they had missed. This is great to see, as it sped up the process by so much since people didnt need to congregate and do nothing while awaiting orders. After that, we had cinnamon rolls and frosting for breakfast. From there, we got to chill out on the boat for a while and work on cards, which we are writing to everyone on board. After a couple of hours of chilling out and doing our own things on the boat, we had lunch. Lunch was deli meat sandwiches, which we devoured from hunger. Theo ended up eating so much that after some activity, he spent some time over the cap rail at the stern. He felt fine after that and rejoined in the activities. The activities started with a boom swing, as in we let the main boom out and attached a rope to it for us to swing from into the water. Throughout this time, Max goes diving with Ben, and then Ben throws his first scenario for Audrey and Max to complete for their respective diving courses. In this first scenario, he pretended to be an unresponsive, non-breathing victim at the bottom of the harbor. After that, there were many intermittent scenarios, both with Ben, Claire, Smash, Tom, and Emma acting as random bystanders or victims of accidents. On top of these, we would also have CPR dummies out on the floor, and we would all go through the steps of what we would do in situations, such as checking for signs and how to treat them. Then, we would do scenarios with a mix of signs and symptoms.

From there, we went to the shore at around 4 pm. We took a couple of dinghy rides to shuttle everyone over, but we finally all arrived. With that, we went on a little hike up Goats Path and got some free time ashore. During this time, we broke off into smaller groups. I was with Max, Grace N, Grace C, Amy, Audrey, and Talia. We all just went on a walk and hung out for a bit before cruising over to the restaurant for some Indian food. We were originally planning on getting takeout but ended up going there for a sign-out night. From there, we all walked back to a different dock together, where pickups were scheduled. When finally on the boat, some of us stayed and continued to write the cards while the rest went to bed. Max, Audrey, Grace N, and I had set up hammocks on the bow where we slept as much as possible, though we all fell asleep at different times as we were doing different things on the boat; eventually, we all made it to our respective hammocks. By that point, I was one of the few people still awake as I was writing cards, but Audrey was at the stern of the boat, so we got back not that far apart from each other. But besides that, Theo, Lillian, Cat, and Lukas were the only others up that I could see.

Sadly, this will be the last you hear of me here, in Boston.
