Once again life aboard Ocean Star awoke to rain on deck. After a fantastic breakfast of bacon and eggs, the rain eased and we commenced with a rather unusually relaxed day. Starting the morning off with an Oceanography lecture, followed by the Open Water students moving onto their final O/W exam, with the rest of the crew catching up on some homework. Around midday we were treated to pasta salad and P.B and J. The afternoon activities involved everybody grabbing their snorkel gear and heading off to the mangroves for a little practical marine biology. The rest of the afternoon passed quietly with a couple of the crew strumming away on their guitars and everyone else generally chilling out. Dinner was a treat with chicken curry and rice and after clean-up headed for the evening program, a slide show on invertebrates.
