Location: Grand Mal, Grenada

The crew of Ocean Star awoke early and hauled the anchor back to bound for Grand Mal Bay, a picturesque anchorage along Grenada’s west coast. After anchoring, students launched the dinghies and donned scuba gear to dive into an underwater sculpture park with various statues and artistic scenes set in about 20 feet of water. After the dives, everyone returned to the boat, showered in the sea, and feasted on a delicious dinner of Moroccan Chicken before finishing the day off by learning about research methods in Oceanography class.
