I think it might be raining.
Hi everyone! It’s Noa again, and I’m here to let you know that this has possibly been the rainiest day since the 80 days started.
Let’s just say that those ocean showers didn’t feel so salty.
Anywayyyy
Today was our new 40-dayers’ first full day on the boat! The switch was quick between both groups, but honestly, I have such a good feeling about the new crew. They’ve been adjusting quickly, and we’ve all been having some great conversations with them, helping them get to know Vela and how everything works!
So, quick rundown of today’s events and highlights!
For breakfast, we had a lovely apple cinnamon oat bake prepared by chefs Kat, Imogen, and Josephine. Just got to say that since Brooke got us Nutella last provisioning, it has been full-on war over the jars.
Then we 80 dayers had marine bio (finally after 2 weeks!), which was great, and the newcomers had finished their swim test.
For lunch, it was pasta salad with a light drizzle of rain. After that, most of us did some knowledge reviews for diving certifications, and those of us who didn’t had little shore time. It was raining so hard today that it just didn’t stop. Everybody was soaking wet all day long. So when we got on that dinghy ride back from shore, we ran back down below and had chicken quinoa bowls for dinner in the salon (VERY UNUSUAL).
Now, as I’m typing this blog club Vela (40 dayers part A you are missed <3) is in full effect in the salon, which I think is just what we needed on such a wet day.
As we do not have any cell service on the boat, I must send a big hug to my family, Celeste, and my dear friends at home.
Ok, I’m gonna go to sleepppp.
