This morning, about half the group started off the day a little earlier than usual, waking up at 6:30 to do a wellness hike up a mountain. We thought the hike would only take an hour and we’d be back in time for breakfast. Unfortunately, we misjudged the time and ended up hiking for two and a half hours. We first hiked up a road to a fort, and then we decided to take a trail through the woods back down to the beach. However, we missed the trail and ended up getting lost and had to backtrack up the mountain. The hike was a lot of fun, though, and everyone was well-energized after it. We returned to the boat, where we had a late breakfast. Then, everyone got together for a quick Seamanship class. Afterward, we had the rest of the day free to do work, go to the beach, or scuba dive. Shelby even decided to climb back up the mountain with a couple of other people since she had forgotten her sunglasses there earlier in the day. Everyone enjoyed a delicious dinner of fried rice and chicken, with a delicious treat of brownies, after enjoying a relaxing day. Tonight’s the second and final round of night dives, and then tomorrow, it’s off to Dominica!
