Location: Galleon Beach, Antigua

Yesterday we all arrived. Everyone in the group is friendly and getting along well. Last night, I set up a hammock between the status of the ship and enjoyed watching the stars from it.

After a very hot and interesting first night of sleep, we woke up for the day around 7:00 am. At breakfast, we spotted some tiny jellyfish and some pelicans diving for fish. Today was a lot of Nitty Gritty stuff. Learning the ropes of how things work around here, getting acquainted with the ship, how to scuba (on land), getting the understanding of our rules on the boat work, and passing a swimming test

After learning the ropes, we left the harbor and made our first move just around the corner. It was not too far, but it was our first time seeing the boat up and running. Now, we are about a half mile from Shore.

Palm trees can be seen offshore next to the bright, blue water. Some students enjoy jumping off the boat and doing backflips. We also took our first ocean shower today. We’re looking forward to our first scuba Dives tomorrow!
