After an extremely thorough Boat Appreciation (mainly thanks to Kevin) while Boomer cleared customs and Chantale and Nick went provisioning, we all went to shore. It was a very subtlely bizarre island in that the rastas were replaced by blonde dreadlock-bearing Frenchmen and the stray mut dogs were instead mixtures of toy dogs like chi-wahwahs and shitzus. Regardless, the ice cream was good and we all got the gigabytes and cheap phone time we craved. We didn’t schedule any classes for today so shipmates are either spending their free time on their Communications chapter review or Oceanography homework. All in all, a very calm sort of surreal day–I anticipate a lot of early sleepers tonight.
