Location: Savanna Bay, BVI
7 am came very quick this morning causing many of us to slowly get out of bed. For breakfast, we had a coffee cake with fruit and yogurt. After breakfast, we had a very fast clean up, causing us to beat the cat (the other seamester boat), which we are very proud of. We all went to the cat to run through some Seamester policies and chatted about PFDs. Shortly after, it was time to leave the docks. We all helped take lines off the boat and set sail for Savannah Bay. On our way to Savannah Bay, we had a fire drill; everyone worked to get their PFD type 1 to make it to the cockpit and then got the dings and life rafts ready. Shortly after, we continued our sail to Savannah Bay. Throughout the sail, Madelyn, Lucia, Maya, Emily, Trevon, Eric, and Chloe all completed their first two dive videos. I took the helm and steered the boat while Nick played some tunes on his guitar, which everyone enjoyed. Once we got to Savannah Bay, Suzette, Sky, and Spencer all helped to lower the anchor. We were all dying to get in the water as soon as we arrived, but first, we had to complete a swim test: 4 laps and tread water for 10 min. After the swim test, we all swam around and enjoyed the water. Hana, Weston, and Ethan all got their snorkel mask to check out the cool water. We then all took ocean showers, which is much more fun than an at-home shower but has many of us questioning if we are even clean. For dinner, we have sloppy joes and are wrapping up the day with another dive video for everyone working on their open water certification and chill time.
Hey, mom, dad, and cam! Love you guys, miss you!
