This morning was a bit laid back for the crew of Ocean Star as we had our second truly rainy day of the semester. We took advantage of the storm to spend some time cuddled up down below. After an Oceanography class, the students presented their research projects. We also had the pleasure of welcoming a few USF faculty members and our very own Travis on board for the second day. Amanda, Peter, and Tom were a fantastic addition to our usual crew.
This afternoon was spent in the world of rescue diving. Cayley held a review session, and all the students sat their exams. We are all anxiously awaiting the results with optimistic hopes. This evening we are spending a quiet night together on Ocean Star after wishing well to our departing visitors. Today proved to be a welcome break from the Caribbean sun, but we are all looking forward to tomorrow’s outdoor excitement. All the best from the Ocean Star family!
