Location: Underway to Mauritius
Today was like Christmas morning on Vela, except instead of presents under the tree, the wind had picked up. Which meant we could put up some sails, kill the engine, and start motoring again. Watch team 3 had the honor of raising the main sail, and they killed it. Afterward, we enjoyed a delicious lunch that was so delicious it reminded me of eating at a small local Mexican restaurant Chipotle. Intense studying and class commenced post lunch as all the students are gearing up for the big marine bio exam tomorrow. I was off watch during this time. Seeing as I dont have to take any marine bio exam tomorrow, was I sleeping? Absolutely not. I had two major tasks.
The first I completed with ease, destroying Tom in Mario Kart. The second task broke my heart as our beloved student, Griffin, broke his bunk fan for not the first nor second but third time. His bunk smelt of a locker room, but hopefully, thatll improve with his new fan. For dinner, we had some pasta that reminded me of the most romantic restaurant in the world, Olive Garden. The big squeeze question was discussing everyones cartoon crushes as kids. Mine was Ursula from The Little Mermaid, but the main characters in Zootopia were repeatedly mentioned. The interesting part is that Zootopia came out in 2018 when most of these people were well into adolescence. Mother, I miss you.
