Location: Bali, Indonesia
Hello everyone! My name is Perry, and this is my first blog of Fall 2025. I am so excited to write this blog because today we left for Christmas Island!
But before this, today started with a very eventful morning, headed up by getting some visits from the ever-elusive and all-powerful Indonesian Customs/Immigration agents. We were cleared without issue and even got some help from them with removing a very dangerous log (with photo evidence). After this, we finished up the last remaining parts of our passage preparation, including but not limited to sending Riley up the mast once again. We had a lovely panini lunch, and then quickly got underway! It was a scenic route out of the bay and along the southwestern tip of Bali. We think we even saw a young whale along the way. Today was also when new watch teams got together, making this passage to Christmas Island even more exciting.
We are in good spirits, and are projected to have fair winds, so there is nothing to complain about.
This is Perry signing out!
