Location: Underway to Dominica

It was the last time I was skipper. Watch team 4 was woken up bright and early at 3:30 am for their 4:00 watch. A tiring and long watch, but greeted with a pretty sunrise and a rainbow on a fat, fluffy cloud. Maria won the first time in the Forb competition with the sunrise time of 7:34. As watch team 5 took over the watch at 8, some of us went back to bed while others crammed for our marine bio final exam. I attempted to study for it, but unfortunately, my motivation had other plans. My fearful watch team leader, Shane, aka goatie wannabe one and only, was our head chef today and whipped out some surprisingly scrumptious black bean burritos. Who would have thought dried black beans would taste so good? Then, it was time to take our final exam. I cant say it was my best test, but certainly not the worst (sorry Megatron). As everyone gradually turned in their exam, some of us celebrated our last test with some canned fruits and Pringles, while others were called to gybe the sails. Everyone gathered in the cockpit after some efficient sail handling to hide from the sun and jam to some music. Right as we started having fun, Charlie Blake (my fearful og watch team leader) called us down for our first and last VHF class. The watch team 4 went straight back to watch as soon as class ended, where we snacked on more Pringles and canned pineapples. Soon enough, dinner came along with chicken curry (definitely top 3 curries so far), and we ended with the squeeze question, What was one of your fondest high school memories? Everyone shared a beautiful, insightful memory as we ended he day with cleanup and a magnificent sunset.

Now off I go to watch this beautiful sunset with Maria and Sam on the bow, bow, bow. : )

It has most definitely been a pleasure to be the skipper and write three beautiful blogs to you, lovely folks.

See you never.
Your local skipper, Sab
