Location: underway

After a night dodging tankers at the northern end of the Malacca Straits, we made it out into the Indian Ocean through the Great Channel. The swells subsided a little bit, but the wind has been blowing steadily, and this afternoon we had all six sails up for the first time this trip. Will all that canvas and favorable winds and seas, we’ve been racing along at a steady ten knots and even set a new calm weather speed record for Argo with an impressive 11.2 knots. We had two classes after lunch, but mostly everyone was just settling into the comforting routine of watch. With another 170 miles under our belts as of this morning, it will be great to see how many we’ve raced through in the past twenty-four hours.
