Whattup everyone! Today, we began with some yogurt and granola to fuel us for the 5-mile hike to come. Thanks to Charlie and his sous chefs, we packed some homemade (stovetop) bread and burrito bowl-type stuff for lunch. Then, we arrived at Krantz Kloof Nature Reserve, where we immediately heard the roaring waterfall down below us. Parts of the hike were very steep and long, but we did it! I can say we all will sleep like a log tonight. Once we got to the main waterfall, Charlie, Ava, Hannah, and Ben spent some time swimming in the chilly water while the rest of us admired the landscape. My appreciation of the day was standingsocks and shoes onin the inch of running waterfall and was immediately cooled down and overall just felt free. As we got back to Argo, we prepared for passage! Its decided: were leaving the city of lights and on our way to East London at 3 am! Lastly, In honor of the slipper,s my mom (hi mom) got me for this trip, was our squeeze question: What is your favorite type of slipper, why, or if you prefer socks, do you like to be able to slide around the house in them, or have the grippy bottoms on them that restrict you from experiencing peak human ability. Glad to say this was a successful squeeze question in that we all know something about each other that you normally wouldnt know.

As this is my final day as skipper during this program, Id like to thank all of those involved in helping me achieve a dream of mine of learning how to sail. Worked out perfectly that this trip was unreal in so many other aspects as well!

Peace out,
Kiley
