Today is our final full day of the program!!! Its definitely bittersweet, but everyone was still having fun as we tackled a lot of big tasks throughout the day. After a breakfast of pancakes made by Kat, we got ready to lift anchor and go on the fuel dock. That went smoothly, but we werent done. We had to move over to Nelsons Dockyard, where we would be spending the night – so as soon as wed refueled, we reset our dock lines and fenders to go stern-to and got the anchor ready. This type of docking is slightly trickier than going alongside, as it requires that the anchor is paid out as we reverse onto the dock, and lines are tied up to keep us from getting blown too far to one side or the other. Everyone is well practiced at it, though, by this point, and it was pretty easy! Once we were set on the dock and had lunch, it was time for some heavy-duty cleaning and packing. Once the boat looked shiny and sparkly, everyone scattered for some last-minute beach/ice cream time before our final night barbecue. Nick grilled up a bunch of hot dogs, burgers, and corn on the cob to feed all of the Cat and Ocean Star so that we were all able to enjoy the last night of the program together.
