Location: Underway to Elba

We started our day in Bonifacio after a successful night out with all my new friends. We had a nice breakfast, and two science classes followed. After those two classes, everyone had some shore time before passage prep. Our passage was 110 miles away at Isole d’Elba, a small Italian island. It was going to take us until 7:30 the next morning. We started off, and the ocean was “rolly,” which meant seasickness for the first time on this trip. But all those people pulled the boot and rallied. I had two-night watches for the passage, which I enjoyed because the amount of stars you see in the middle of the Corsican Channel will leave you stunned. And Happy Birthday to Kris. set date:2012-09-25
