Top o’ the morning to all our fellow fans!
What a day we had yesterday! It began as usual: breakfast followed by clean-up. We then dove into Marine Biology class run by our very own Steph, where we got a historical overview of the science and its origins; we were also introduced to some species of fish and coral that we will be ID-ing throughout our dives on this trip. Afterward, our newly certified open-water divers had the opportunity to dive in a new spot, where many fishies were seen, including some majestic octopuses! Meanwhile, certified students hung back onboard, where they took the time to catch up on some work, practice backflips, and begin helping Ocean Star get ready to take off on her first voyage of the trip. When all were back onboard, and our tummies were filled, all hands were on deck as we began to fully prep Ocean Star for our first journey. Once ready, we set sail and were bound to Nevis, ready to take the ocean head-on!
