It seems like yesterday we just crossed the equator… oh, wait. It was yesterday! It is weird not to have an equator countdown going, but oh my word, folks, what a day it has been!!! The day started with watch before the crack of dawn for many of the crew members. My watch team, watch team three, had the 12 am to 4 am watch, where we did some sail handling and shared spooky stories and banana bread. When we got relieved by watch team one at 4 am, I definitely had to sleep with one eye open from the stories. Once morning rolled around. Some people started taking their Nav Master certification exam at 8 am and continued throughout the day. So far, three tests have been graded, and all three people passed! Hopefully, the rest of us will get good news soon! When people were not taking their exams, they were working on homework, doing laundry, on watch, or taking naps. I’ve never seen so much laundry on the lines at once. Also, throughout the day, people shaved their heads or cut their hair in celebration of passing the equator. Once everyone finished their Nav Master exam, we had on-deck showers. In the heat of the Northern Hemisphere, nothing has ever felt more refreshing than shower time!!! After showers, we had dinner, which was made by Max, Amanda, and Cole. It was Bibimbap, which I had never had before and I must say that it was soooo good. Once dinner was finished, we had a squeeze where everyone said their appreciation for the day and what tattoo they would get. Now, we are doing cleanup and getting ready for our watch tonight. As per usual, it was another great day on Argo!
P.S. Hi mom, dad, and Paul! I love and miss y’all! I hope you guys haven’t gotten too used to me being gone. 😉 I’ll see you soon!
