Location: Tobago Cays
Today was supposed to be kicked off by an early morning navigation dive, but due to high winds and currents we had to postpone it to a later date. Instead we had a Marine Biology exam followed by a free afternoon to explore the Tobago Cays. This place has unbelievable panoramic views and unforgettable sunsets. The Cays is actually said to be the most photographed place for postcards and advertisements. Most of us spent the afternoon on Petit Bateau Island walking around amongst the mass of tourists from the cruise ships that frequent the anchorage. Some bought t-shirts and “the southern-born shipmates” built an enormous sandcastle that could be seen from the ship. Windsurfing, reading, and salt water showers were followed by dinner and celebration of “Scuba Steve’s” 21st birthday. We had a treat of brownies in place of a cake. Sweets are a rarity on this boat. That said, the pans were licked clean. Sadly, we leave the beautiful Tobago Cays tomorrow morning.
