Location: Pigeon Island, Guadeloupe to Antigua
The crew of Ocean Star woke up next to the beautiful island of Guadeloupe. After a morning class we did one of the best dives yet, at Jacque Cousteaus favorite site. The dive consisted of a variety of fish species, a hawksbill turtle, and a statue of Jacque, which we all said hello to. After diving, the crew had a delicious lunch and some time to relax. The afternoon was spent catching up on work and tackling the difficult navigation problems. Right before dinner, we prepared Ocean Star for the sail to Antigua! We all enjoyed a beautiful sunset and dinner before leaving Guadeloupe. After raising the sails the first watch team took the helm and we began our journey to Antigua. The rest of the crew went to sleep to be well rested for the rest of our sail and our exciting days in Antigua that await us.
