Location: The Saints
This morning we took on two classes back to back – Oceanography and Nautical Science. We learned about contour lines and finding our position without a GPS. Afterwards, Tyler and Henry did an Elkhorn survey snorkel and most of the crew headed ashore. Several of us rented motorized scooters and zipped around the island’s narrow streets. We went up to Napoleon’s Fort just in time to see it close; it’s only open till noon so we were disappointed, but at least we got to see the outside. We ate a lot of ice-cream – I’m pretty sure the lady at the ice-cream shop is going to miss us. We had a great time here – no-one will forget our scooter adventure, especially if one was lucky enough to see Conor C. go by with Joe on the back!
