Today started off in fine form with chocolate chip pancakes prepped to perfection by our masterful Chefs Katrina and Adam. After breakfast the Oceanography class commenced with the exciting topic of sediment for today’s discussion as well as a view of the different types through the microscope. After OCE we had a Student Leadership Development class with some public speaking being the order of the day. For lunch we had Gazpacho and PB and J followed by a snorkel on the reef. For the rest of the afternoon we did a bunch of different activities. Some of the shipmates went for a short hike on one of the Islands that surround the anchorage. Others stayed aboard and caught up on some work and a few went out to learn the ropes on the dingy. Dinner was great with Wahoo on the BBQ and Thai Chicken in the galley….. a feast for a king. After clean up we had some visitors that have come by every night we have been here….. a school of Spotted Eagle Rays…. and because we were ready to go for our night snorkel, we were able to get into the water with these magnificent animals. After the snorkel, the boat was alive with the tales of what everyone saw on their snorkel….. It was a great day… one for the books.
